Position Summary

Working under direct supervision, is responsible for requisitioning material and parts required to manufacture and/or assemble electro/mechanical and softgoods finished products. Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts and assemblies both inter and intra-departmentally. Informs appropriate personnel of established completion dates. Individual errors will directly affect, to a minor degree, the overall pace of production, quality of product, or overhead cost for programs/products.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

Verifies current inventory of materials and prepares requisitions for same from both in-house and outside vendors.

Maintains a computerized status of the movement of parts from initial to final stages.

Monitors completion of machined parts and schedules assembly of same with Assembly personnel.

Provides computerized reports showing man hours expended for manufacture of products as requested.

Performs liaison duties between Purchasing and Logistics to resolve discrepancies

ADDITIONAL

Maintains daily time charges and weekly time sheets to assure an accurate account of labor hours expended.

Performs other duties and assignments as required by the Operations Services Manger.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

High School or equivalent education plus one to three years experience in a similar position, with experience in requisitioning materials and maintaining inventory of same. Familiarity with computerized inventory systems and ability to operate IBM PC. Excellent verbal and written communication inter-personal skills required. Must be able to organize work flow for maximum proficiency.
