Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide development and validation of equipment and machinery used in the offshore subsea oil well production business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple engineering and CapEx projects
  • Write or review technical proposals, equipment evaluations and sourcing
  • Set up and monitor project budget
  • Assist customer in preparation of design ideas and specifications
  • Conduct presentations and assist with sales and marketing activities
  • Coordinate the activities of project engineers and designers to develop preliminary sketches, calculations, drawings in the development of quotation preparation
  • Maintain customer communication from conception through design, manufacture, testing and shipping of products
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modiy schedules or plans as required
  • Generate purchase requisitions and review and approve supplier invoices
  • Prepare project reports, forecast, variance explanations and other technical and financial reports for management, client or others
  • Review and approve project invoices and resolve accounts receivable issues with customer
  • Provide general technical support on Oceaneering products, projects and services
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (ISO, API, and ANSI), contract requirements and related specifications
  • Interface with customers and other project managers (both internal & external) and provide engineering status and progress reports
  • Assist in system configuration and costing of the system and components during the bid stage
  • Prepare, review and approve quality plans and technical procedures
  • Conduct and attend meetings
  • Maintain training requirements as directed by management
  • Domestic and international travel and trips offshore for the purpose of training, product testing and offshore field operation of hardware



  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering
  • 3 – 5 years of engineering experience
  • Knowledge of industry standards (API, ISO, DNV, ASTM, etc.)
  • General understanding of Engineering Fundamentals
  • Proficient Word, Excel, Solidwoks, and AutoCAD (or other engineering design software)
  • Ability to read schematics and structural construction drawings
  • Hold/maintain a valid passport and be willing to travel


  • ROV and/or subsea equipment design and engineering experience
  • Knowledge of engineering structural software
