Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • You will be responsible for independently servicing, repairing and assembling our AGV's and, if necessary, will assist with maintenance work for existing clients on site.

  • Excellent technical judgment, and appreciable independent evaluation, creativity, and latitude in providing solutions are expected.

  • The use of software tools to configure vehicle components and adjust the behaviour of the AGV system plays an important role in supporting the customer.

  • You should be comfortable making small system modifications such as changing parameters or installing software updates.

  • During projects installation phase you will work closely with Software Engineers and Project Managers to perform installation tasks and bring the system to a successful completion.

  • You will report and communicate customer requests to the responsible Account Manager within Oceaneering.

  • You will be expeted to give regular status updates to both the customer and internal resources, and to complete service reports for customer visits.

  • You must be customer service oriented with a strong ethos towards customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience

  • MBO level 4/HBO in mechatronics, electronics information technology or mechanical engineering or similar.

  • As a minimum 5 years of key technical experience, preferably in material handling or process/packaging/automotive industry

  • Knowledge and experience in reading electrical system drawings and mechanical drawings for complex electro-mechanical systems

  • Relevant knowledge and experience in control technology

  • Ability to provide solutions driven expertise

  • Experience with mobile robots or AGV’s is a plus

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written in Dutch, English and German are required

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
