Position Summary

To carry out onshore and offshore activities to facilitate External Corrosion Management strategies, providing assistance to Senior Discipline Engineers and Project Teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist Engineers and Project Teams in inspection and integrity function and onshore co-ordination, including the following:-

  • Assist Engineers in data preparation and input work
  • Prepare work packs for offshore surveys
  • Review inspection/survey reports and extract relevant information
  • Prepare data/drawings to a form suitable for data input to Metacor
  • Update Metacor
  • Review material lists from drawings
  • Group similar parts based on set criteria e.g. condition, accessibility and specification
  • Operate client MMS (e.g. SAP)
  • Interface with ACET support to ensure workflow is efficient
  • Preparation of mobilisation requests
  • Maintain filing systems/databases
  • Assist with maintenance registers and project plans
  • Assist in review of incoming workflow as instructed by senior engineers
  • Assist with retrieval of project specific technical data
  • Assist in preparation and collation of client reporting
  • Produce accurate report/results as per engineers instructions

General

  • The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
  • Assist with any other duties as and when required
  • Undertake specific projects as instructed by management

  • Ensure that business and HSE risk implications of integrity issues are clearly identified and assessed for consideration within the Oceaneering Integrity Management Team and communicated to the Client

Other

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
  • Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

Qualifications

Qualifications and Training

  • Engineering qualification NC or above (P)
  • NACE CIP 1 (P)
  • VT L1/2 (P)

Experience

  • Creating or reading various types of technical drawings (P&ID;’s, piping isometrics etc) (E)
  • Skill in setting out information/marking up drawings for data input teams (E)
  • Material take off / estimating (E)
  • Knowledge and understanding of external corrosion and coatings
  • Experience of the oil and gas working environment (P)
  • Knowledge of platform systems and layout (P)
  • Prioritization and organization of workload (E)
  • Computer literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – proficient in Excel (E)
